We originally met the Missioners of Christ in Honduras in 2002/03. They were at that time sending short-term mission teams to an orphanage near Comayagua. One of the Missioners, Carol Restaine, felt called to move to Comayagua to live among the poor. The Franciscan Friars of the Renewal had already been living and serving in the area for a few years. Carol and other Missioners began working alongside the Friars especially in serving the youth of the area. While our time of mission for those first 3 and a half years were mainly spent helping the Friars to build Casa Guadalupe, we spent a lot of time in community and service with the Missioners of Christ, also.
