What will be doing as missionaries in Honduras?

Initial Project - Construction of new Beata Margarita Clinic

One of the projects that we were invited to help the Missioners with is the building of a physical therapy clinic called Beata Margarita.  (https://www.missionersofchrist.org/beata-margarita.html) Several years ago they received a grant to put two Honduran young women through physical therapy school and they have been giving physical therapy to the poor free of charge ever since but in a rented room in the building that Daniel helped construct back in 2003-2007.

But physical therapy uses a good amount of equipment and space, so they applied for a grant earlier this year in order to build a clinic.  They received the grant within a few months of applying, and in the year of COVID!  So the land is already purchased and Daniel and I went down in October to check it out.  Daniel has the plans for the clinic already drawn up and with the Honduran Missioners' team, they are getting things ready to begin building.

Other on-going Missionary Work:

The Missioners have many other projects that reach out to the poor including a scholarship/tutoring program, outreach to the nearby orphanage https://en.asociacionhogarnazareth.org/), and several mountain mission trips throughout the year (video of Linderos mission) .  We hope to plug into these with our children, but we also look forward to seeing how we can minister to other families.
