Wedding Anniversary

This Pentecost weekend Daniel and I celebrated our 6th Wedding Anniversary. We were married on the Vigil of Pentecost at my hometown parish of St. Mary's Church. I've never posted pictures of that day before because I never had the photos in digital form until earlier this year when I took the negatives in to put them on a cd. So here are a smattering of them.

The display at the reception showing photos from Honduras where we moved a few months later to work on construction for the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal.
Cutting the cake my cousin made: Italian cream. Funny story: He made it at his house in Austin and drove it to the reception hall an hour away...in his unairconditioned truck!!! The icing all melted and he had to run to the store to buy all the ingredients to re-ice! I think the cake was extra-moist and extra-delicious, too, because of this little incident.
Bride and groom and witnesses.
The party.
The Altar party.
Black and white.

To celebrate this year, Daniel and I went to confession and then to a local ice cream shop for a yummy brownie, toffee, coffee ice cream creation. :) We also drove around a bit looking at houses for sale. My parents kept the kiddos for the hour or so that we were out.

Praise God for the gift of the Sacrament of Marriage and the graces He gives us be true to each other in good times and bad, sickness and health.
