Yes, there is a long road to recovery for Philip and we thank you so much for your prayers and offers to help. He endured a 15 hour surgery on Tuesday that ended at midnight. He was coming out of the anesthesia yesterday and was able to squeeze a hand when asked. He now has a dozen titanium plates holding his face together. (Juan Pablo is often asking questions that begin with, "When Uncle Philip is put back together again, can we...?") Now some of the things are just waiting for the swelling to go down...like his knee and his eyes. I'll try to keep y'all updated.
