The Nation's Largest March for Life Rally!!

Okay, and Honduras' only March for Life. That's mostly because abortion is still illegal in Honduras! Yea! Not that there aren't illegal ones performed or there aren't any anti-life organizations trying to legalize it as well as spread contraception and other anti-life messages to this very pro-children culture. But last year the government made March 25th the national Day of the Unborn. As many of you know, March 25th is also the Feast of the Annunciation which remembers when the angel Gabriel was sent by God to announce to Mary that she was chosen to carry her Savior within her womb, to be the mother of Jesus. This is the second year of the Pro-Vida Committee of Comayagua and their second time to organize the march and rally. We had a Mass here at Casa Guadalupe and then walked with balloons and signs chanting, "Todos fuimos ninos no nacidos!" (We were all Unborn Children! - chants better in Spanish :) ) I think it's between 2 and 3 miles to the center of town from our neighborhood. At the central park, the Pan de Vida Band played praise music and some speakers talked about the goodness of life. We ended at noon...any longer we would not have survived the sun and heat. The following is a family photo after the Mass and before the March in front of the Our Lady of Guadalupe (she's blotted out by the glare in this photo) portrait in the Chapel. She is the patroness of the unborn.

The next two are photos Daniel took from the gazebo where the band played. It looks out onto the square and the Cathedral. In the first one I am sitting with the boys in front of the gazebo on the right.

And here's our little unborn...I'm about 5 months along now.
