After the Dedication...

Aunt (or as Juan Pablo calls her, "Uncle Melanie") Melanie stayed for the rest of the week.
Daniel's brother Philip came after Melanie for the weekend. This is the only photo I have of him while he was here and Juan Pablo took it. Sorry, Philip. :) "Uncle Melanie" tried to sabotage Philip by getting Juan Pablo to call him "Aunt Philip," but with no success.
After all the guests left, we had some moments of brotherly fun. One of Emmanuel's accomplishments in his first year of life is playing Connect Four.
They got finger paints from their cousins Zachary and Grace. Emmanuel taste-tested them as he does with anything on his fingers, especially dirt.

Wow, congratulations to you guys on the hard work that has paid off! I'm almost in tears seeing the pictures of the place your family helped build. May God be glorified in that beautiful place! Will you be coming back to the states? Merry Christmas from Blair and family :)

Thanks, Blair and Lillian, for your comments. It makes it all more "real" when others talk about Casa Guadalupe...since we see it everyday, the gradual building of it all makes the "completion" seem less spectacular in a way. Thanks for the encouragement. As to your question, Blair, that is still a big question. We're not sure what God is calling us to next. We're pretty sure we're done here in Honduras but are open to other "missionary territories." Though we miss our families, I think the thought of moving back to the States is a little scary sometimes after living over 3 years in such simplicity. The consumerism is a bit overwelming. All that to say that we would appreciate any prayers for discernment of our future and/or any advice for living simply in the States. A Merry and Holy Christmas Season to you both!
