Construction Pics and the Story of Daniel's Six or Seven Stitches

Juan Pablo posing on the second floor of the middle section in front of Dad's rolls of electrical wires. Yes, I know that's very dangerous for him to be there by the unfinished railing without me holding his hand, but I just let go for the picture.

This is a dormitory room that is very close to being finished. On the other side of the doorway is a large bathroom.

Looks like craziness...and it really is. This is a picture of the third section taken from the second floor of the middle section. Much is going on there including painting metal beams with read anti-corrosive paint and mixing some concrete using a small electric mixer. Eventually that area in the middle will be a court for soccer, basketball, and other sports.

That's a whole bunch of electrical wires Daniel is doing something with.

One of Daniel's helpers is Br. Nathanael. He is an Aggie Mechanical Engineering major and just took his final vows with the friars at the end of July. They work on the electrical stuff of Casa Guadalupe. Last Tuesday they were working with that big heavy electrical panel, and Br. Nathanael somehow dropped it on Daniel's forehead just over his eye giving him a nice gash that was fixed with 4 or 5 stitches and another gash under his eyebrow sewed up with 2 more stitches. Daniel was very cool about it and I didn't have to baby him at all. Br. Nathanael felt really bad but couldn't help but laughing. He's not a very serious person, but he is a hard worker. Daniel has never had stitches before, and I believe, he really enjoyed this first experience. He will get them taken out tomorrow.
